Super Duplex 2507 Square Bar, UNS S32750
Super Duplex 2507 square bar in UNS S32750 (EN 1.4410) is the preferred geometry for keys, key-stock, square-headed plugs, anchor heads and short structural shapes that require a true 90 degree section without machining-from-round waste. TorqBolt holds 2507 square bar from 6 mm through 200 mm at the Mumbai warehouse, hot-rolled or cold-drawn, with EN 10204 Type 3.1 certificates and Type 3.2 on request.
Square bar is supplied to ASTM A479 for stainless bar in pressure-vessel service and ASTM A276 for shapes. Sour-service certification per NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156-3 is available with controlled hardness and ferrite content.

Per ASTM A479 designation S32750: 25Cr-7Ni-3.5Mo-0.3N. Copper is restricted to 0.50 max as residual, not intentional. PREN of 41 or higher.

Heat Treatment
Solution annealing at 1040 to 1100 degrees Celsius followed by water quench. There is no aging or temper. Heavier square sections (above 80 mm) are quenched in agitated water to clear the sigma-phase precipitation window before secondary austenite or chi phase can nucleate.

What tolerance does TorqBolt hold on 2507 square?
Cold-drawn 6 to 30 mm: h11 (typically minus 0 to minus 0.13 mm). Hot-rolled 30 mm and above: ASTM A484 (typically plus or minus 1 percent of section). Tighter tolerances by negotiation.
Can 2507 square bar be used directly as machine keys?
Yes. Cold-drawn 2507 square bar in 6 to 30 mm is delivered to key-stock tolerance and can be cut to length without further machining. Yield strength is 550 MPa min, so torque transmission is roughly twice that of austenitic 316L for the same key cross-section.
Does 2507 square bar contain copper?
No, copper is not an intentional alloying element in UNS S32750. ASTM A479 permits 0.50 max as residual, not intentional. Copper-bearing super duplex grades (Zeron 100 S32760, Ferralium 255 S32550) are different alloys.
Is 2507 square bar suitable for sour service?
Yes, qualified per NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156-3 with 28 HRC max hardness and ferrite within the 35 to 65 percent band. The application zone, H2S partial pressure and chloride limits are stated on the certificate when ordered with NACE compliance.
